Summercase festival in Barcelona, it’s music to my ears!
February 23rd, 2007Well it may only be February, but tickets are already on sale for the 2007 Summercase festival in Barcelona, and if last year is anything to go by it’ll be sold out before we know it!
The Summercase festival is a very popular music event that takes place at the ‘Parc del Forum’ in Barcelona, in July. It’s a fantastic venue right next to the sea, with lots of stages and tents, and even fairground rides. Lots of big names have already confirmed for this year, including Chemical Brothers, Kaiser Chiefs, DJ shadow and PJ Harvey.
The tickets are around 85 to 100 euros depending on how far in advance you buy them, which is for the whole two days, and with the concerts carrying on until 4 or 5 in the morning I certainly think you get your money’s worth.
I went last year and it was brilliant, I saw loads of bands like Massive Attack, Primal Scream and New Order etc. The weather was warm, everyone was happy, and of course the music was fantastic.
On the last night we stayed at the concert right till the end (about 5 ‘o clock), at which point the sun was coming up, so we walked along to the beach and watched the sunrise, it was the end to a perfect weekend. You can see some other people’s thoughts about last years event in this forum.
As I said before it sells out really quickly so it you want to go, I really advise you to get your tickets fast. I’ll be buying mine in the next couple of days.

I will definitely be there! We have some amazing similar parties in Holland and I have never had a single bad experience, although in Holland we aren’t always as lucky with the weather as you were last year. Looking forward already!
