Life in Barcelona

Hi everybody!!

As you should already know, Barcelona and Catalunya do not only offer nightlife or the beach.  I think that all the people who live in Catalunya are very lucky because they can enjoy a great time going to the beach…and also practicing some SKIING!!! Actually, the Pyrenees are located just 2 hours from Barcelona and even less from Girona or Lleida.

I know that this year we’re not being very lucky with the weather to practice skiing, as there hasn’t been much snow! but most of the ski resorts are already open! So, if you are planning to do something different during the weekend, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy some amazing days in one of the numerous ski resorts Catalunya offers you.

However, I want to tell you about one ski resort in particular. If you are interested in going skiing during the weekend or even only for one day, the best option is to go to Port Del Comte, no doubt! Maybe Port Del Comte is not as known as other ski resorts like Baqueira Beret, Molina or Masella, but it’s the closest one to Barcelona, just between 1 ½ and 2 hours. Moreover, there are more than 30 ski runs and 15 ski lifts, so this ski resort can receive the most experienced skiers and also the complete beginners. Without doubt, the fact that Port del Comte is so close to the big cities, allows complete beginners to finally decide to go and try this enjoyable sport!

And this is not all! Don’t think that after skiing, everything ends in Port Del Comte. You have the possibility to practice other sports like football or tennis, or just relax in the swimming pool that you will find right next to the most popular hotel-restaurant of the resort, called l’Avet.  And obviously, the food is very, very good…the meat is incredibly delicious!! And if you are looking to go out during the evening, you can go to Sant Llorenç De Morunys or Solsona, where you could have some drinks and dance in one of the numerous pubs.

So, don’t miss the opportunity to have a great time practicing skiing in Port del Comte with friends or family.   For sure, this is the best place to ski! For example, I’m planning to go there with all my colleagues…I’m sure it will be amazing!! The only thing that we need now is more snow!!!!
