Sitges
December 14th, 2006For all the people who are coming to Barcelona for holidays, do not miss the opportunity to visit some towns close to Barcelona…there are also very nice places to go close to the city.
As an example, I would recommend you to visit a town called Sitges. It is located just 40 km south from Barcelona and you can go there by car, train or bus. One of the greatest things of Sitges is without any doubt its architecture. The streets are strait, there is also a great and beautiful church and there are lots of art galleries. In fact, many painters come to Sitges to get inspiration to their work because of its views, buildings and the general atmosphere.
In addition, Sitges is located at the coast and the beach is very beautiful and large, so you will probably have no problems to find a good and relaxing place on the beach. Also, if you are looking for big parties, you cannot miss night parties in Sitges. There are a lot of bars, pubs and discotheques where you can go out for having fun and enjoy yourself. Finally, do not forget to go for a wonder around the port “Aiguadolç”.

I too had a lovely day in Sitges and found it to be a very pretty town. It was in Nov and that meant that a lot of places were closed but still found plenty to do I have uploaded a couple of photos which look as if they were taken in the summer not december.
