Life in Barcelona

…And feel like a local! Barcelona has been a scooter-friendly city for a long time! Everywhere you look you will find them: parked on the side of the road, swerving left and right between the cars, in rows upon rows along the pavements, down by the beach or just casually driving around the city centre! The locals especially use scooters to get easily from one place to another and to avoid the crazy traffic chaos that has become commonplace in any huge city such as Barcelona. The scooters can just squeeze in and out between the cars to line up in the first row – which is actually really funny to watch, since in many cities you would probably get a fine for doing this at the traffic lights. But in Barcelona this is now a normal thing to do and the police don´t mind the queue-pushing at all!

But not only the locals are enjoying the freedom a scooter brings. It is a great idea for tourists who want to see Barcelona from a different angle and who want to go to places where no tourist bus, metro or other public transport can take them! Rent a scooter! Scooters can be rented in the city centre for days, weeks or even months – no matter how long you are staying in Barcelona, or for how long you want to take advantage of the attractive possibility of such freedom!

I arrived in Barcelona 2 weeks ago, and  last Sunday I  had the desire to do something new, see something else and go further than I normally would on foot or by metro. So I searched and found a great scooter rental company here in Barcelona: COOLTRA MOTOS! They have a really nice local shop in the heart of Barcelona, very close to the Sagrada Familia and, most importantly, they have really stylish and reasonably priced scooters…and very handsome staff

Renting a scooter is really easy! You need just your passport, cash or credit card and a driver`s license. And then the adventure begins. I went with one of my friends and we had so much fun, experiencing this amazing city from a totally different angle… and with the spring breeze in our hair! We found places and corners of the city that you can`t find on any standard tourist day! It was a great feeling to act like a proper resident of the city, swerving around on the bike. Really cool! So if you are visiting Barcelona and thinking about doing something different, then Cooltra Motos is waiting for you. We will definitely do it again.  Maybe next weekend
