Even the dogs are fashionable in Barcelona!!

What is it all about with dogs and clothes here in Barcelona? Every time I go out I see these little mini dogs doing a catwalk with their tiny colourful jerseys covering their back while they are walking their owner around the block.
Actually I find it quite funny coming from freezing Sweden where I have never seen any dogs with clothes on, despite the fact that the temperature easily goes below -20ºC! They seem to be happy using their own fur against the northern wind and the white snow.
Maybe Spanish dogs are more cold-blooded than their northern colleagues in my home country. At least their owners must think they are. Sometimes the dogs and owners here in Barcelona even match, with the same colour jackets! If you really are in to this dress-your-dog-thing you can actually buy all different types of accessories for your furry haired friend. I just wonder how much the dogs fancy walking around in pink dresses on a sunny 20ºC day in the middle of the city. I mean it’s just so embarrassing!
